Executive Assistant (On-Site, Flexible Hours)
Location: Oxford, CT | Hours: ~20–25/week to start, full time available | Pay: $20+ per hour, based on experience
RCO Pet Care and Where Sit Happens are sister companies passionate about providing exceptional care and training for pets and peace of mind for their humans.
As we grow, we're looking for an organized, proactive, and animal-loving Executive Assistant to work directly with the owner and support both the business and personal sides of daily operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an EA, you’ll be the right hand to our owner, keeping things running smoothly, helping us grow, and taking initiative to solve problems before they happen. You’ll handle a variety of tasks, including:
Client Acquisition & Communication
- Screen new client inquiries and holding discovery calls
- Manage scheduling for training sessions
- Maintain and manage a waitlist for dog training
- Follow up with clients after consults, services, or classes
- Conduct client offboarding calls to gather feedback
- Welcome and check in dog training clients and walk-ins while at the facility
Admin & Organization
- Triage and manage the owner's email inbox - responding to general inquiries, labeling, unsubscribing from spam, and escalating when needed
- Organize and maintain a growing library of training materials and write-ups
- Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices
- Billing as needed
- Coordinate with team members to ensure class logistics, staffing, and materials are prepared
- Payroll preparation
Operations & Personal Support
- Schedule personal appointments for the owner
- Order store supplies as needed
- Welcome new clients and support onboarding
- Support our online pet parent community
- Assist with light content tasks like repurposing blogs or social media copy

- You’re tech-savvy and can navigate new platforms, inboxes, scheduling tools, and shared drives with ease
- You’re comfortable working in person and managing both digital and physical tasks
Hours & Compensation
- Part-Time: 20–25 hours/week to start
- Schedule: Flexible, but must be on-site

Physical Requirements
This position involves a combination of desk-based and physical tasks. Applicants should be comfortable:
- Sitting at a computer for extended periods
- Occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs (e.g., pet supplies)
- Bending, reaching, or standing briefly during light organizing or stocking
- Walking dogs or moving around the facility as needed
